Cedar Valley Shrine Club President Scooter Stephens with Diane Tracy, president of the Cedar Valley Shrinettes and Brent Bevins, the Oriental Guide with the Yaarab Shrine out of Atlanta. Bevins accepted the $14,000 check on behalf of the children’s hospital.
The check was presented to Brent Bevins, the Oriental Guide with the Yaarab Shrine of Atlanta at a recent event.
Stephens said all of the money was raised from Polk County residents.
The donation will support the club’s 22 children’s hospitals, he said. Stephens said 19 of those are orthopedic hospitals and three are burn centers.
He said the hospitals serve all children under age 18 without regard of economic status.
