BUFORD, GA. — Law enforcement officers are teaming up for a 70-mile memorial ride to raise money for the family of two Buford boys killed last month in a boat collision on Lake Lanier.

The Gwinnett Daily Post reports (http://bit.ly/LLsEfU) that the Griffin and Jake Prince Classic Car and Motorcycle Ride around the lake is planned for Aug. 11. Organizers say all proceeds will go to a memorial fund established for the boys.

The body of 13-year-old Griffin Prince was found in the lake several days after a fishing boat collided with a pontoon boat he and his family members were aboard on June 18. His brother, 9-year-old Jake Prince, died at the scene.

The ride is sponsored by the sheriff's offices in Dawson, Forsyth, Hall and Lumpkin counties.
