He was born on Feb. 19, 1945 in Cedartown, the son of the late Frank Ivey and Deola Milam Ivey.
Mr. Ivey was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Bailey and brothers, Larry Ivey, Franklin Clovis and Lenard Ivie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Dentmon Ivey; daughter, Felicia Coats; son and daughter-in-law, Sheldon and Michelle Ivey; step-children, Nicki and Ricky; sister, Patricia Viens; brothers, Brad Tucker and Doug Tucker; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were conducted on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. John Cole and Rev. Dara Cole officiating.
Interment followed in the Northview Cemetery.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Glenn Norman, Dewayne Waters, Brian Owen, Cody White, Daniel Dentmon, Dean Johnson and Terry Dentmon Jr.
