The Haney Supply Company, 37 Brackett Hill Road, Rockmart, was broken into January 10 while it was closed due to the weather, according to those at the store.
Power tools were stolen. Employees said this wasn’t the first time the store has fallen victim to thieves.
Store employees said Polk County police were called, but the Polk County Police Department said they didn’t have a report on the incident.
Meanwhile, speculation that Rakestraw Auto Service and Tire, 600 North Piedmont Ave., Rockmart, was burglarized during the bad weather is untrue.
Employees there said they had boarded up the store’s windows to install new ones.
