The Cedartown Middle School baseball team was expecting to play Rockmart in the postseason tournament opener on Wednesday. Instead, the opening round of tournament play was rained out and Cedartown found out their opponent would be Armuchee when they do get to play.

Cedartown is slated, weather permitting, to play Armuchee tonight at 7 p.m. in Rome at Etowah Park. If Cedartown wins, they will play on Monday against either Darlington, Pepperell or Model. If Cedartown loses, they will play Friday against the loser of the Rockmart-Rome contest. That game would be at 5 p.m., also at Etowah Park.

Ten teams are competing in the Rome league tournament. Seeded from No. 1 to 10 are: Darlington, Cartersville, Chattooga County, Cedartown, Armuchee, Coosa, Rockmart, Pepperell, Model and Rome.
