The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, Nov. 25:

1. Polk County schools are closed for Thanksgiving holidays.

2. All city services are closed until Monday Nov. 28, at 8:30 a.m.

3. The Kiwanis Club of Cedartown meets every Friday at 12:15 p.m. at Cherokee Country Club.

4. Various stores have Black Friday sales going on all day today.
