The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, Dec. 2:

1. Cedartown United Fund, 445 South College St. Cedartown, will have a registration for its annual Christmas Toy program Monday through Friday from Nov. 28, until Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon each day. To register you must bring your picture ID card, proof of residence, rent or mortgage receipt, proof of all monthly household income, your child’s social secuirty cards and birth certificates. Non-U.S. citizens must bring their permanent resident cards. If you have any questions please call the Cedartown United Fund office at 770-748-1215, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and noon.

2. The Kiwanis Club of Cedartown meets every Friday at 12:15 p.m. at Cherokee Country Club.

3. The Rockmart Christmas parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. the parade route begings at the parking lot at the Rockmart Municipal Complex onto College Street, left on Piedmont Avenue, right on East Elm, left on Marble and right on Church Street. The parade will end at the former Rockmart Middle School parking lot.

4. The Cedartown Performing Arts Center, will have feature a "Southern Gospel Christmas Jubilee" at 7 p.m. with the Partain Family, the Primitive Quartet and special guest speaker Dr. Joe Arthur. Tickets may be purchased online at www.thepartainfamily.com or you may call (678) 708-9695
