Floyd Primary Care, Floyd Urgent Care to Break Ground on New Rockmart Facility Floyd Primary Care and Floyd Urgent Care in Rockmart will host a ground- breaking ceremony April 24 at 11 a.m. in anticipation of the construction of a new facility at the intersection of U.S. 278 and Ga. Hwy. 113 in Rockmart.

The larger, more convenient location will house the practices of Floyd Primary Care family medicine specialist Dr. Thomas Garcia, and primary care physician assistant Stephanie Hyson-Guevara as well as urgent care physicians Dr. Greg Matechak and Dr. Leia Dawson Chatman. Floyd Physical Therapy and Rehab will move its Rockmart office to the new building as well.

Construction on the 13,930-square-foot building, which will feature 21 examination rooms, is expected to begin in June. The new building is scheduled for completion in December of 2012.
