The business is owned by Cathy Norton, and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday.
Curves features simple hydraulic resistance rather than complicated machines or weight stacks in 30 minute workout routines three times a week with a combination of strength training and cardio exercise.
Curves also has a Silver Sneakers program whereby qualified members can receive their exercise program free through their Medicare benefit insurance.
Also offered is: Curves circuit Zumba on Thursdays at 5 p.m.
The following members are recognized during the ten year anniversary event:
Beth Hunt, a charter member, who has completed 2131 workouts.
"I enjoy coming to Curves and getting a workout that I know will make me a stronger person," Hunt said.
Nancy D. Collins, a member since 2006, received a t-shirt for 1250 workouts. Collins joined Curves following knee replacement surgery and enjoys coming to Curves as it has strengthened her bones and muscles.
Juana Cervantes, a member since 2006, received a t-shirt for 1000 workouts.
"Curves is a place of friendship and fun," Cervantes said.
Pattie Arrington, a member since 2009, received a t-shirt for 800 workouts. Arrington is known for always smiling. She stated that Curves makes her day.
