The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, May 23:

1.The Cedartown Wal-Mart will host senior day every Wednesday at 9 a.m. Seniors are invited to enjoy coffee, donuts and muffins as well as five games of bingo with prizes for the winners.

2. Polk County republican candidates wishing to qualify for office can do so by visiting the administration building on West Avenue in Cedartown on May 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or on May 25 from 9 a.m. to noon. 3. Kids in Recovery meets every Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Cedartown Library for kids ages 12 to 19-years-old with substance abuse problems. For more information call Pastor Sims, 770-546-0772.

4. Cedarspring Missionary Baptist Church will hold revival at 7:30 p.m. Everyuone is invited to attend. The Pastor is Lewis D. Clark.

5. Morning View Baptist Church in Rockmart will hold revival at 7:30 p.m. Billy Rampley will be the speaker.
