The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, June 4:

1. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Burt Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activites. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.

2. Taylorsville Baptist church, 19 Church St., Taylorsville, will hold Vacation Bible School June 4-7 from 6:15 - 8:20 p.m. with meals served at 5:45 p.m. A family night commencement and ice cream supper will be held Friday June. Classes are available for all ages. This year’s theme is Spacequest.
