26 Bulldogs to compete in 2012 Summer Games

ATHENS, GA. — Bulldog Nation will be in London for the 2012 Summer Olympics.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports among those walking in the parade of athletes in Friday's opening ceremonies are more than two dozen athletes who are playing or played at the University of Georgia. The athletes, who include tennis player John Isner and shot putter Reese Hoffa, will compete in the Olympics starting Saturday.

The athletes represent 11 countries and will compete in six sports, including diving, swimming, tennis, track and field and volleyball.
