Authorities say lightning from Wednesday's storms sparked house fires in Forsyth County north of Atlanta, but no injuries were reported.
Forsyth County Fire Chief Jason Shivers tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that firefighters were working to put out fires at two separate homes after the storms moved through around 5 p.m.
Shivers says less-serious fires at two other house are also believed to be related to the storm.
The fire chief says four mobile homes in Cumming also sustained significant damage.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in metro Atlanta on Thursday, mainly after 2 p.m.
