He was born on Sept. 3, 1939 in Polk County, the son of the late Joe and Vera Sanders.
Mr. Sanders is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sara Elaine Sanders; sisters, Agnes Winkles and Helen Cash; brothers, Ned Sanders and Edward Sanders.
He is survived by his daughters Tammy Thomas, Lori Ann Sanders, and Rhonda Sanders Allen; sister, Evelyn and Dean Goodsell; brothers and sisteres-in-law, Dwight Red and Judy Sanders and Lowell and Rouzell Sanders. Three grandchildren also survive.
The Funeral was held Monday, Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Gammage Funeral Home. Rev. Rouzell Sanders, Rev. Earl Partain, and Rev. Joey Sanders officiated the service.
Interment followed at Northview Cemetery.
The following gentlemen were asked to serve as pallbearers: Jimmy Cash, Dustin Howard, Lee Moncrief, Jay Cruz, Anthony Poole and Calvin Wade Bell. Honorary pallbearers were: Brian Turner, Adam Wright and Nicky Sanders.
The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
