11 face charges for underage drinking at party

Eleven people face charges after Polk County police found several underage and juvenile party-goers drinking at an Aragon home, according to reports.

According to Polk County Police Department reports, officers were called to 145 North Bellview Road on Nov. 3 at 10:48 p.m. regarding a party. Officers said they arrived to find a large crowd in the garage and driveway.

Homeowner Michael Jason Holder told police there were teens at the party and some had been drinking. Holder was also arrested on 10 counts of contributing to the delinquency of minors. He bonded out of the Polk County Jail Nov. 4 with a cash bond.

Officers administered breath tests and arrested six people between the ages of 17 and 19 charges of underage drinking and transported them to the Polk County Jail.

The older teens arrested were Delaney Denise Hitchock, 17, of Rockmart; Lauren Baily Tilley, 17, of Aragon; Molly Elizabeth Howe, 18, of Rockmart; Robert Korbia Forrister, 19, of Cedartown; Sieandra Shyann Thomas Kendrick, 17, of Dallas, and Walter Michael Lane Leatherwood, 17, of Rockmart.

Four juveniles were also charged with underage drinking, reports state. Police called their parents and released them once their parents arrived at the scene.

I wonder how many of the parents new where their minors were and if not then why not?
