Polk County Volunteer Fire Stations eight, one, seven and five were called to an initial report of a grass fire on Brewster Field Road on Monday afternoon. After arriving on scene, firefighters discovered that the fire had spread to a trailer located on the property, according to Fire Chief Randy Lacey. Lacey said the property owners had obtained a burn permit, but the fire got out of control and burned an old trailer that was being used to store personal items. There were no injuries reported, Lacey said.
