The Cedar Valley Shrine Club raised $14,000 for children’s hospitals, according to club President Scooter Stephens.

The check was presented to Brent Bevins, the Oriental Guide with the Yaarab Shrine of Atlanta at a recent event.

Stephens said all of the money was raised from Polk County residents.

The donation will support the club’s 22 children’s hospitals, he said. Stephens said 19 of those are orthopedic hospitals and three are burn centers.

He said the hospitals serve all children under age 18 without regard of economic status.
