No one showed up to comment during a public hearing held tonight by the City of Cedartown.

The hearing was held to allow discussion on the city's proposed operating budget for fiscal year 2013.

During the hearing, Cedartown City Manager Bill Fann said he was pleased with this year's proposal. "This is a really good budget, it actually came out better than we expected."

Expenditures in the proposed 2013 budget are 5.5 percent less than last years.

The commissioners will vote on the budget during a meeting on Thursday, Dec. 20 at 6 p.m.

A copy of the budget can be viewed at the Finance Officer's office during the city's normal business hours.
