Mrs. Toy Hartzog Connell, 72, of Kingston, formerly of Rockmart, passed away Dec. 7, 2012. She was born Nov. 4, 1940 in Geneva, Ala.; the daughter of the late Herman B. Hartzog and Maryann R. Gautney Hartzog.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Hartzog, and her sister-in-law Linda Kendrick Hartzog.

Mrs. Connell was a retiree of the Wheeler County School System and a member of the Snowhill Community Church.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, James Edward Connell Sr; children Eddy Connell, Ricky and Karen Connell, Mike and Linda Connell, Kenny and Jenny Connell, Bill Connell, Steve Connell; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; siblings Royce and Cheryl Hartzog, Jerry Hartzog, George Hartzog; sister-n-law Leona Hartzog; along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service celebrating the life and faith Mrs. Connell was held Saturday, Dec. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Whitworth Baptist Church in Dallas, Ga. The service was officiated by the Rev. Harold Garrett.
