Mr. Harrell was born in Cleburne County, Ala., on Sept. 10, 1945, son of the late Fred Nathaniel Harrell and Sara Gentry Harrell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Sue Harper and Jean Harrell; brother, Bobby Harrell and son Jonathan Harrell and a grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Marjean Newborn Harrell of Buchanan; two daughters and son-in-law, Rebecca Harper and Jody and Howard Haas; one son and daughter-in-law, James Nathaniel and Darlene Harrell Jr.; brothers, Bobby Lewis and Jimmy Lewis; three sisters and four step-sisters, Mary Jones, Sara Lou Wade, Joyce Cash, Joyce Summerville, Ruby Harrell, Sara May Folsom and Linda Carroll; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Earl Wiggly and Jamie Harrell officiating.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel and Crematory of Buchanan was in charge of the arrangements.
