Mr. John B. Kelly Jr., 74, of Earlysville, Va., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.

He was born on July 22, 1938 in Shreveport, La. to the late Aileen Poole Kelly and John B. Kelly Sr.

Mr. Kelly worked for many years for Echo, Inc. as a vice presedent of sales for the U.S. division. Most recently, he was the owner and operator of Kelly’s Korner Racing Kollectables and spent 10 years with Clayton Homes of Charlottesville.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed living on the lake.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Shirley K. Phipps.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Edith P. Kelly; sister, Rosina Kilpatrick and her husband Bill, sons and daughters-in-law, Britt and his wife Tracie and Cary and his wife Lisa; daughters and sons-in-law, Shannon, and her husband, Daniel Lawson, and Heather and her husband, David Tetzlaff; step-sons, Travis and Dwayne Douglas; nine grandchildren, one step-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

A private ceremony was held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12 at the family residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Emily Couric Cancer Center.
