Authorities say a man sold undercover agents of the Calhoun Police Department a large quantity of methamphetamine.

After nearly three months of investigation the CPD arrested Rafael Pineda Gonzalez, 29, of a Rockmart address and charged him with trafficking methamphetamine.

“He was the subject of an investigation by the Calhoun Police Department’s Special Operations Unit back in December of last year,” Calhoun City Lieutenant Detective Tony Pyle said.

This is all the information that is being released because the case is still open, but Gonzalez remains in custody at the Gordon County Jail pending bond proceeding.
