CEDAR SPRING BAPTIST

Cedar Spring Baptist Church will hold a yard sale all day Saturday, April 4. Shoppers may find an Easter outfit. They may also want to buy a chicken or fish sandwich plate.

ST. BERNADETTE

St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 101 S. College St., Cedartown, announces their upcoming Holy Week events. A bilingual mass on Holy Thursday, Our Lord’s Supper, on April 9, will be held at the Guatemalan Prayer Group, 419 South College St. Good Friday, April 10, will a Celebration of the Lord’s Passion, 6 p.m., English, 7:30 p.m., Spanish. An Easter Vigil will be held on Saturday, April 11, 6:30 p.m., English Mass, 8:30 p.m., Spanish Mass. An 8:30 a.m. Spanish Mass will be held on Sunday, April 12. A 10 a.m. English service, and an 11:15 a.m. Spanish service will follow.

SOUTHSIDE BAPTIST CHURCH

Southside Baptist Church will be having a one-night Revival on Wednesday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m. in observance of Rev. Billy Frasier’s 45th anniversary of announcing his call to preach. His first sermon was preached at Southside. Bro. Frasier will bringing the message and the choir will be singing. Everyone is invited to come and share this special service with Bro. Frasier.

UNION ASSEMBLY

The Church of God of the Union Assembly, Inc., 1512 South Main St., Cedartown, presents ‘Our Redeemer Lives.’ All are invited to experience the life of Christ portrayed through drama and song, April 4 and 5, at 6 p.m., each night. Admission is free. Call 770-748-7060 for more information.

YOUNGS GROVE

Young’s Grove Baptist Church, 2255 Antioch Road, announces the Ride for Sarah on April 25. Registration for the ride will begin at 9 a.m., until the ride begins at 10 a.m., and returning around 1 p.m. Admission fee is $20 per bike and $10 per rider. Lunch will be served after the ride. The ride will benefit Sarah Borders and her family. Sarah has been diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, a cancer that affects young children. All are invited to some and ride to help Sarah and her family.

INTERNATIONAL

MISSIONARY SOCIETY

Learn the King’s Spanish! The International Missionary Society is pleased to offer a new course, “Spanish for Professionals.” This free, exciting 12 week course, taught by Dr. Raquel Orce-Petkov, covers the basics of conversation, pronunciation and grammar. ANNA KRESGE

Anna Kresge United Methodist Church, 15 Booger Hollow Road, will have a community soup and sandwich supper the last Wednesday of each month, at 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend, and there is no charge.

Anna Kresge also invites everyone to celebrate Easter by attending several upcoming events at the church. April 4: Easter egg hunt and kite flying at 11 a.m.; April 5: Palm Sunday service at 11 a.m.; April 9: Maundy Thursday communion and foot-washing service at 7 p.m.; April 10: Good Friday service at 7:30 p.m.; and April 12: Sunrise service at 7 a.m., and the Easter service at 11 a.m.

CHRIST TEMPLE APOSTOLIC FAITH CHURCH

The Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church of Cedartown is inviting the public to attend their church. Sunday schools begins at 9:30 a.m. and morning service starts at 11 a.m. Bible classes are held each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 770-748-7276.

YOUNG’S GROVE

Young’s Grove Baptist Church, 2255 Antioch Road, will have their Easter Egg Hunt and Fun Day for Saturday, April 4, from noon until 4 p.m., at Kimoto Tech. Everyone is invited to enjoy the food, fun and fellowship. The following Sunday morning will be Sunday School High Attendance Day. PINE BOWER

Pine Bower Baptist Church, 100 Pine Bower Road, will have an Easter celebration and cookout on Saturday, April 11. At 4:30 p.m. will be the egg hunt, ages zero to seven; at 5 p.m., will be the community cookout; at 6 p.m., will be the youth celebration, ages 8 and above with inspirational message by Levi Skipper and music provided by Steadfast. HOLLY SPRINGS

SECOND BAPTIST

Second Baptist Church, 152 Evergreen Lane, Cedartown, will be hosting a new ministry called Divorce Care. The ministry will be a special help seminar and support group for people experiencing divorce and separation.

The meetings will be held at the church on Wednesday evenings, began March 11, and take place at 6:30 p.m. The meetings will last for ten weeks. Childcare will be available. There is no charge for the seminar however, donations will be accepted.

CEDARTOWN CHURCH OF GOD

GOD’S CHURCH OF DELIVERANCE

God’s Church of Deliverance will be hosting their annual Rainbow Service at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009.
