The final score was 8-6 with the black team coming out on top.
“These guys have been showing up and working hard, practicing hard, and playing hard,” Head Coach Dan Duff said. “With only 60 kinds right now, we’re down a little in numbers, but the guys we have are phenomenal.”
A few good players are unable to play right now due to grades and behavior. Duff said he will not allow someone like that to come out onto his field — it’s bad for the team to get someone that doesn’t care or has bad behavior, he said.
Despite the loss of up to 22 seniors, Duff is not worried about the upcoming season. He has some great players coming back, plus this team is a new team for RHS, he said.
Duff said this group of players is devoted to winning as a team. They play together and rely on each other rather than just having one great player doing all the work, Duff said.
However, with the loss of thes seniors, spots have to be filled. One big hole that came open with graduation is quarterback. This is where Roshmel Young comes into the picture.
