Two charged with methamphetamines

The recovery a stolen car recently led to the arrest of two on narcotics charges thanks to the joint efforts of the Polk County Police Uniform Patrol Division and Narcotics Enforcement Team (N.E.T.), according to Police Chief Billy Wills.

During the early morning hours of Friday, March 12, uniform officers located a stolen Mercury Cougar at 4245 Prior Station Road.

The officers noticed a peculiar odor commonly associated with the production of methamphetamine. They then proceeded to call on members of the N.E.T.

Agents arrived on the scene and determined a search warrant was needed for the property.

The N.E.T. agents then secured and executed a search warrant at the residence and aside from the recovered stolen car, also recovered a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, several firearms and multiple drug related objects.

Arrested was Tina Renee Dover, 42, of 4245 Prior Station Road. She was charged with possession or marijuana, possession of methamphetamine , possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Also arrested on the same charges, including theft by receiving, was Charles Randolph “Randy” Williams, 42, also of 4245 Prior Station Road.
