Work crews have been spending the last few weeks putting up the framework for the new middle school, which is located off the bypass near Cedartown High School. According to an architectural design, the school will have a main building with two wings and house 1,050 students in more than 60 classrooms. The school is expected to be ready for the start of the 2001-2002 school year, as is the high school project in Rockmart.
