The motorcyclist injured in a Tuesday night wreck in Rockmart remains in serious condition at Atlanta Medical Center, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Jackie Eugene Brock, 44, of 4356 Collard Valley Road, Cedartown, had surgery on Wednesday, according to police. The extent of his injuries was not released.

The crash between him a 2000 Toyota Tacoma happened on Highway 278 at Peacock Lane, across from Wal-Mart.

Rockmart Police Chief Keith Sorrells Brock was riding his motorcycle on Highway 278 when Tina Irene Holt, 50,of Taylorsville attempted to turn left in front of the biker.

Brock struck her pick-up on the side.
