In between the constant rain drops recently the Cedartown Little League All-Star teams were able to wrap up District 1 tournament play. Out of 10 All-Star brackets Cedartown won only one bracket, the 7-8 year old B team division.

Cartersville was the big winner at the District 1 events as they won six brackets. Cartersville won the Junior League, 9-10 A, 11-12 A, 11-12 B, 9-10 B and the 9-10 C tournament.

Rome claimed the second most bracket wins as they won the Senior League bracket and the 11-year old A bracket.

Rockmart, like Cedartown, only won one bracket as they took home the 7-8 year old A title.

Cedartown came up just short of winning the 9-10 year old championship as they lost both games of a two-out-of-three game series against Cartersville. Cedartown lost game one 4-2 and then dropped game two 6-4.

The Cedartown Senior League team went to a third and deciding game in their bracket before losing to Rome 12-7.
