Emory LifeFlight landed in a field behind the school around 2:15 p.m.
Superintendent Dr. Darrell Sorrells confirmed that the child was treated on the scene by Polk 911 and was transported to another hospital via lifeflight.
He also said that the child was responsive after the accident.
The Polk School Distirct is not releasing the child's name.
