Paulding County Parks and Recreation is partnering with the Atlanta 2-day Walk for Breast Cancer and Paulding County Board of Education (Elementary PE Challenge) for the 10th Annual 5K Run/1 Mile Walk for Fun and Health.

This year’s event will be on Saturday, September 12 at White Oak Park. Sign in begins at 7:30 am with the I mile walk beginning at 8:00am and the 5k Run will begin at 8:30am. All participants that are preregistered by September 8th will receive a commemorative t-shirt.

Cost is $11 per person or $31 per family or walking team of 4 members. (Additional family or team members pay only $8.)

This year we are very fortunate to team up with the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer, an event that raises money and awareness for the Atlanta-area breast cancer organizations that focus on breast cancer education, research, early detection, awareness and support services, as well as the unmet needs in the breast cancer community.

A portion of each registration of our event, will be donated to the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer.

Once again this year, Parks and Recreation will offer Paulding County Elementary Schools the “Elementary P.E. Challenge”! The elementary school with the most students, faculty, parents and family members, (as determined by the % of participation based on school enrollment), will win a trophy and recognition for their school as the “Most Fit” elementary school in Paulding County.
