A representative at the CPD confirmed that no one was injured or arrested. It is unclear at this time whether the tip was false or if police are still seeking a suspect, but children were released from school today without incident.
More information should be available sometime tomorrow.

Initial reports: Man with a gun possibly heading to CMS
Police and residents are advised to be on the lookout for a rental car that may have an armed suspect heading to CMS.
Initial reports state that a silver Chevrolet Aveo being driven by a female with a male passenger who is possibly armed with a 9mm handgun may be en route to Cedartown Middle School. The 911 call came in around 2:10 p.m. today.
Rockmart Police notified Cedartown that a threat had been made, and that the two responsible were wanted by police. Further information indicated that these two individuals were on their way to CMS to pick up a child.
Police say that there is no threat to the school or the school's students at this time, but have closed down the front entrance and are posted at the Collard Valley entrance of the school in search of these suspects.
Pick up and drop off at the school is being conducted as usual, as police are seeking to stop the car off campus.
Police are advising that they may already be in the car line, and officers are on the look out for the vehicle.
The Fish Wrap will post updates as they become available.
