Two wins allowed the Rockmart High School baseball team to keep their spirits high as they headed into the second half of the season last week.

The Yellow Jackets took a 5-2 win over Dade County last Tuesday and racked up the hits in an 11-5 defeat of Sonoraville on Friday while losing to Chattooga, 7-1, in between the victories on Thursday.

Cody Scoggins hit his third home run of the year against the Phoenix Friday in Gordon County as Rockmart (8-8, 8-5 in Region 7-AA) got their defense going.
